The lucky winner of the Apple iPad Air 2 randomly drawn from the hundreds of participants is a police inspector currently studying for a BSc in Policing.

I read Policing Insight to keep up to date with the topical issues facing policing.

Insp. Simon Hutchison, Metropolitan Police

Simon is currently in his third year at Canterbury Christ Church University, studying for a BSc in Policing, and looking forward to completing his dissertation and having a bit of a break: “It’s pretty full on when combined with family and work,” he says.

Simon adds: “Doing the degree has really reignited my passion for policing; I have great interest in evidence-based policing and staff welfare. Those on the front line do an amazing job, day in and day out, and I am passionate about ensuring they are looked after and supported to do their job.

“I read Policing Insight to keep up to date with the topical issues facing policing. I also enjoy the guest articles; one of the most recent ones by Gareth Stubbs, an avid tweeter who I follow and comment on, was a great article.”

The Policing Insight team would like to congratulate Simon and thank everyone who took part in our Reader Survey and Prize Draw; the feedback has been fantastic and will strongly guide the development of Policing Insight.
