Public Safety, Crime and Justice Conference 2017: Policing the 21st Century Landscape

Leading practitioners and academics from the policing world will gather at the University of Northampton across June 21st and 22nd for the Public Safety, Crime and Justice Conference 2017: Policing the 21st Century Landscape, which will feature keynote addresses from John Hageman of Interpol and Professor Peter Squires of the University of Brighton.

The event will focus on the translation of academic research into public safety practice, with a view across cultural diversity, globalisation of neighbourhood policing, developments in technology, exploring the legacy of change and impact on public confidence.

In addition to the keynote addresses, Sunderland University’s Dr Rob Worral will present on place-based leadership development and its role in violence prevention while David Huse OBE – who led the London 2012 Olympic volunteers programme – will speak on workforce transformation. There will be additional presentations of the latest academic research as well as question and answer sessions and workshop activities.
