Since the inauguration event in 2000 GPEC® has developed to be Europe’s biggest closed specialized trade fair for police and all authorities related to internal security. The event is regularly held under the patronage of the German Federal Minister of the Interior. GPEC® covers all subject and equipment areas of law enforcement, public and homeland security, serves as One Stop Shop with regards to save resources with authorities and keeps up with current requirements. A framework programme including conferences, official working group meetings and practical training sessions make GPEC®, again and again, an indispensable branch forum. Also in its 12th edition as a specialized trade fair, exclusively for members of authorities, GPEC® provides the confidential framework for the exchange with top leadership personnel, procurers, technicians and end users from Germany and all over the world.

By covering all subject areas and types of equipment the event is an innovation and information centre for equipment, training and operational policing as well the contact and point of reference for all target groups and management levels of internal security. Already, the number of exhibitor registrations and scheduled official and other conferences and meetings shows that this is a one stop shop for business to network with authorities in the field of internal security since the year 2000. No other closed event in Europe unites so many decision-makers, procurement officers, technicians, trainers, users and suppliers on such a confidential basis for information and discussion as GPEC®.
German authorities come together for official working group meetings and conferences (an absolute unique selling point) and symposia at GPEC® because, in addition to gaining up-to-date information, they can network with colleagues on Federal and Länder level as well as inter-ministerial und even international level on the one hand and exhibitors that present their current products, services and innovations on the other hand during this face-to-face event.
As closed specialized trade fair for all leader and executive levels and subject areas with police, border guard, customs, government intelligence and security services, municipalities, civil protection and disaster control authorities, justice and prison service as well as special task force and infantry units of armed forces GPEC® regularly provides the confidential scene for the exchange with leaders, decision-makers and preparers, procurement officers, technicians, trainers and end users.
The decoupling GPEC® digital for focusing on all digital transformation topics of internal security that was first organized in 2019 remains part of this all-embracing, biennial GPEC®, also in 2022. The independent event GPEC® digital is always organized in the uneven interim year, after the unfortunately unavoidable cancellation for 2021 again in 2023.
