Terry Wilkins has been a volunteer with Thames Valley Police for nineteen years and has been a key figure in the development of their PVST and Citizens in Policing programme.
In January 2006, he accepted (as a volunteer) the role of national
Police Support Volunteer (PSV) Programme Manager and in November 2008 received an ACPO Presidential Commendation to recognise his contribution in “developing the concept of Police Support Volunteers nationally.” In the 2012 June Queen’s Birthday Honours, he received an OBE for his contribution to policing. He remains involved nationally as a volunteer with the College of Policing and a board member of Citizens in Policing Community of Practice (CiPCoP).
