Paul, originally from Liverpool, joined the City of London Police in November 2014 as one of 8 Direct Entry Superintendents across the country.
He joined the Direct Entry programme, run by the College of Policing and participating forces, from the Bank of England where he was the Senior Manager in charge of Emergency Lending and Crisis Operations. His varied career has included roles at the European Commission, where he was part of the Troika Team (Commission, ECB and IMF) in Ireland; HM Treasury; the Financial Services Authority; and consulting at Accenture and KPMG.
At KPMG he was part of a project team at Wiltshire and Thames Valley Police delivering efficiency in police processes to free up response officers’ time.
He studied Politics at St. Chad’s College, Durham and lives in East London with his wife, a PC in the Metropolitan Police Service.
