Olivia is Deputy Chief Constable for Sussex Police. It is her responsibility to deliver the Operational Planfor the Chief Constable, balancing the myriad needs of local communities and working with other agencies and forces, in order to meet the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner’s Policing and Crime Plan. She is responsible for the work which will ensure Sussex communities receive the policing service they need within a significantly reduced budget. She Chairs the Sussex Resilience Forum to ensure plans, agencies and communities are ready in the event of a major incident or disaster. Olivia is the National lead for the Policing of Children and Young People and the UK Women Chief Officers’ Network.
Prior to this she was Assistant Inspector of Constabulary with HMIC, independently inspecting police forces and policing, in the public interest. She has previously served as Assistant Chief Constable for Surrey and Sussex Police, was the national lead for the police on tackling organised immigration crime including people trafficking and began her career policing in Avon and Somerset Constabulary.
Beyond work, Olivia is a keen sports-watching Mum, joins enthusiastically in with many sports, and plays the piano to a distinctly average standard at her local Church.
Olivia was awarded with the Queen’s Police Medal in the 2016 New Year’s Honours list.
