Jonathan leads IPPR's work on public services, including health, education and justice.
Jonathan rejoined IPPR in August 2015, after spending a year seconded to the Strategy Unit at the Department for Education. He was previously a senior research fellow at IPPR where he led the institute’s work on education policy.
He comments regularly on public policy issues in the media. Coverage includes the Guardian, Times Education Supplement, Sky News and BBC Radio 4. He has presented his research to policymakers in the Cabinet Office, Treasury and Department for Education, as well as to a number of teacher conferences. He is a governor at a primary school in Ealing, west London.
Before joining IPPR in January 2009, Jonathan completed an MA as a Commonwealth Scholar at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
