Profile
My research interests lie in violence against women, in particular domestic and sexual violence. I am currently researching sexual violence against people aged 60 and over, exploring the prevalence, impact and support needs of people who have experienced sexual violence in later life in the UK. I am currently a senior lecturer in criminology and sociology at Teesside University. I have worked on a range of projects related to violence against women, including: older sex offenders in the community - managing risk and best practice; the use of smartphone apps in preventing, responding to, and perpetrating sexual violence; the lives of everyday young mums in the UK; and a feasibility study for a sexual violence toolkit for young people.
