Profile
Diane Liang is a Master’s in Public Policy 2021 candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). Before HKS, she served as a research assistant at the Brookings Institution, under the John L. Thornton China Center. There, she supported research on US-China relations, as well as Chinese foreign policy, elite politics, and socio-political issues. Prior to joining Brookings, she served as an intern at the Albright Stonebridge Group, the United Nations Development Programme’s China country office, and at the Embassy of Canada to the United States. She received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, where she completed a joint degree in economics and political science. She has studied Mandarin, French, Modern Standard Arabic, and Italian, and also speaks Cantonese.
