Professor Colin Rogers is a former police Inspector with South Wales Police with 30 years service joined the university full time in 2004, having taught as part time lecturer in criminology since 1997. His areas of expertise include Community Safety Partnerships, Situational Crime Prevention, Problem Oriented Partnerships, the Future of Policing, Police education and also Police Governance and Accountability. The author of numerous articles on policing, he is also the author of several books. Professor Rogers was awarded the title of Reader in Police Sciences in July 2010 and in July 2012 was appointed Professor of Police Sciences.
He is the editor of the Australasian Journal of Policing, the editor of Police Science, the Journal of the Society of Evidence Based Policing in Australia and New Zealand.
Professor Rogers is also Professor of Policing and Law Enforcement , at the Australian graduate School of Policing and Security at Charles Sturt University, NSW, Australia.
Professor Rogers is currently a panel member for the Hong Kong Council for Vocational Qualifications. (2018),
