Ché Donald has been a police officer with Sussex Police since 2002 and Sergeant since 2005, during his career he has remained within frontline policing, holding roles in Response, Neighbourhood Policing, PSU, CBRN, Intelligence Development and Tutoring. He has been an active police federation representative for the last 12 years specialising in Discipline, Equality and Post Incident Procedures and also held the roles of Treasurer and Secretary in the Sussex Black Police Association (SBPA).
Ché was elected onto the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) Interim National Board in September 2014 and is the National PFEW Lead for Firearms, Taser and Police Officer Mental Health.
He also holds the posts of National Chairman of the Sergeants Central Committee and Chairman of the Equality and Diversity Sub-Committee for the PFEW.
Having emigrated to England in 2000, he still remains as a loyal Springbok rugby supporter is an active RFU referee.
