NEW LAUNCH:

Policing Insight launches “instant access” individual subscriptions

Feature launch

Policing Insight launches a new instant access individual subscription feature. This new functionality allows readers to access subscriber content straight away. It also means that users can themselves manage their subscription plans online, rather than having to rely on email or telephone contact with Policing Insight's admin team.

Thanks to a fantastic year of reader growth and editorial development we have been able to invest in an upgrade to our reader experience, subscriptions and account management functionality on Policing Insight.

  • Instant access paid subscriptions
  • Flexible recurring subscription plans
  • User managed account

Benefits for our readers

  • Immediate access to subscriber content
  • Prices, levels of access and subscription periods to suit your needs
  • Discount trial subscription periods
  • Convenient, secure card payment
  • Cancel renewal when you want
  • Self managed subscription plans
  • Clarity on what content is accessible

This means you can now subscribe immediately, online, rather than contacting us by email.

Subscription payments are quick, convenient and secured via Stripe, our secure payments partner

We can now also offer recurring subscription plans with more flexibility on content access, subscription periods and pricing to suit your requirements. Look out for our new discounted trial subscription offers for “Article Only” access as well as “Premium” full access subscription plans.

Need to dip your toe in first? Why not try our heavily discounted 3 month trial subscriptions.

Want individual access at the best long term value? Then choose an annual subscription plan!

Subscription plans are self-managed through your ‘My Account’ page, allowing you to upgrade your subscription access or cancel your renewal.

Your ‘My Subscriptions’ section shows your current subscription plan, renewal/end date and any available subscription upgrades. You can also manage your newsletter preferences in this section.

Your “Billing” section shows your transaction history and facilitates easy viewing of receipts.

It is easy to see which content you have access to with our colour coded labels indicating whether content requires free registration or a paid subscription. These dynamic labels tell you what action is required to view the content – you can ‘OPEN’, ‘REGISTER’, ‘SUBSCRIBE’ or ‘UPGRADE’ to go to the page, depending on your subscription plan.

Organisation wide subscriptions

We continue to offer our best value organisation wide subscriptions, which provide access to all employees of a subscribing organisation. Simply register using your work email address to see if your organisation has a subscription in place. If it does, your account will be instantly upgraded to subscriber access and will indicate the name of the subscribing organisation.

If you want to find out more about how your organisation can benefit from a best value organisation wide subscription or subscription package for multiple users, please email us: [email protected]

Improvements, for easier registration and sign in

In the past, the most common problem for readers seeking to register has been due to a mistyping of account email addresses. This has prevented readers from validating their account and setting their password. This has been solved by our providing a new email confirmation field on registration to check that the email has been entered correctly.

We have also made it easier for our readers to sign in. Rather than having to enter your full (possibly long) email address to sign in (a particular issue for many police users!), you can now choose to log in using your Username instead.

If you don’t know your Username, just sign in as usual using your email address, then view your Username in the top right of the screen in the greeting after ‘Hello..’. Alternatively you can find your Username in the ‘My details’ section of the ‘My Account’ page.

Continuous improvement

We are determined that we will keep improving the service we offer our much-valued Policing Insight readers. Look out for new editorial developments and site features launching over the next year.

If you have any further suggestions for how we can improve our service, please do not hesitate to email us via [email protected]
