Police Taser use up by 50 per cent in five years: Home Office statistics 2014

The Home Office publishes statistics on the use of Taser by police in 2014 showing a small decrease of 3% since 2013 but a 50% increase since 2010. In light of the of inquest verdict on the Jordan Begley case, the NPCC responds by defending the use of Taser but calling for the medical evidence to be referred to an independent body for review.
