The focus for this year’s National ANPR Conference, supported by media partner Policing Insight, will be on Innovation, and how the UK policing and law enforcement can work in partnership with the Home Office, with academia and with commercial suppliers to accelerate the pace of innovation by harnessing technology, data and our collective know how to evolve and transform in the application of ANPR for policing and law enforcement purposes. From the first arrest credited to ANPR in the 1980s, to the launch of a new National ANPR Service in 2019, ANPR has evolved into a critical capability. As vital as an intelligence tool to prevent threats to national security and to combatting serious and organised crime, as it is to safeguarding and improving road-safety.

The 2022 National ANPR Conference is relevant for professionals across policing and the wider law enforcement community, including Strategic, Operational and Tactical Leads with specific responsibility for ANPR capability, as well as Intelligence Practitioners, Analysts and Criminal Investigators. particularly those working cross border.

Speakers at this years’ conference have been specifically selected to challenge thinking, stimulate discussion, showcase innovation, and best practice.
