Vulnerability & Exploitation Conference 2024
In-person & Online
7th Mar 2024 to 8th Mar 2024
We would like to invite you to attend the National Vulnerability and Exploitation Conference on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 March, hosted by the Vulnerability, Knowledge and Practice Programme (VKPP), Hydrant Programme and the Tackling Organised Exploitation (TOEX) Programme.
You are able to attend the conference either in-person, at the College of Policing in Ryton, or virtually. In-person delegate places are limited, we encourage anyone who is interested to register as soon as possible.
The event is focussed on protecting children and adults affected by vulnerability related risk and harm by looking at cross-cutting issues across the programmes, the Child Sexual Exploitation Taskforce and the wider vulnerability and exploitation landscape. This conference is for both policing and wider stakeholders.
The conference would benefit investigators/practitioners or those who are involved in developing, shaping and leading safeguarding and public protection responses. The conference would also benefit those in the research community who are leading, commissioning and undertaking research in this area.
We have an exciting range of inputs from victims and survivors, as well as key-note speakers, both internal and external to policing.
Across the day, delegates will have the opportunity to:
- Understand what ‘justice’ looks likes through the voices of victims/survivors.
- Learn from national/local evidence and data, including examples of promising practice resulting in better and quicker identification, prioritisation and disruption of exploitation and vulnerability related harm and protection of those experiencing harm and abuse.
- Network and problem solve with key partners and stakeholders to ensure learning from data and insight supports a whole-systems approach to tackling exploitation and vulnerability related harm.
If you have any problems with registration, please contact: [email protected]
We look forward to seeing you in attendance.
