On February 29th at 3pm Eastern our webinar will go live with four prominent Canadian police leaders.

Moderator:

Matt Torigian MOM MPA, International Consultant and former Deputy Solicitor General, Government of Ontario and former Chief of the Waterloo Regional Police Service. Mr. Torigian leads a consultancy providing advice on policing and security to government officials on four continents.

Panelists

Chief Jerry Swamp is from Rama Police Service representing the National Association of Indigenous Chiefs of Police. He is a past recipient of the First Nations Chiefs of Police outstanding service award for his work in numerous organized crime investigations. He is also the recipient of the Governor General’s Exemplary Service Medal in 2011. In 2013 Chief Swamp was the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award for his outstanding contribution to First Nations Policing in Canada.

Chief Jim McSween is from York Regional Police Service and President of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police. He is a recipient of the Governor General’s Exemplary Service 20-year medal and completed his 30th year of policing in October of 2019.

Chief Graham Abela PhD is Chief of the Taber Police Service. He holds a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from the University of Calgary and a Masters Degree in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads.
