DI Eric Halford is an officer with Lancashire Constabulary and currently runs the digital forensics intelligence and investigation unit and has 15 years experience, predominately within detective roles. Eric is a great advocate of evidence based policing and believes in the principles of using robust methods to underpin key policing decisions and policy changes. Eric has a Master’s degree in security studies and is currently in his 4th year of a PhD project researching the ecological behavioural links between foraging animals and criminals using the predictive optimal forager method.
