Dr Donna Peacock is a Senior Lecturer in Social Studies at the University of Sunderland. Her research interests relate to cybercrime, cyber-security, the impacts of technology on society, and vulnerability.
Donna has recently studied the impacts of gender in cyber-security (with Professor Alastair Irons) and is currently involved an evaluation of the Northumbria Local Appropriate Adult Scheme (NLAAS) which provides support to vulnerable adults in custody (with Dr Faye Cosgrove). Donna is the scheme manager for NLAAS; organising, training and supporting the volunteers who work as Appropriate Adults in the Northumbria Police Force area. Email: [email protected]
Dr Faye Cosgrove is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Sunderland. Her research interest and expertise lies primarily within policing, specifically the occupational experiences, identities and culture(s) of individuals working across the extended police family, neighbourhood policing and community engagement, and enhancing legitimacy in police work. Faye is currently involved in two research projects: a research project that explores the deployment and occupational experiences of Special Constables with respect to their effectiveness and contribution to local policing (with Dr Pauline Ramshaw) and an evaluation of the Northumbria Local Appropriate Adult Scheme (NLAAS) which provides support to vulnerable adults in custody (with Dr Donna Peacock).
