Blair Gibbs was a former advisor to the Justice Secretary, Michael Gove MP. Prior to this he was policing advisor to the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson (2012-15) where he led on policy and strategy, including devising the performance framework for the city’s policing plan, and designed new initiatives including the Policing Ethics Panel and the Institute for Global City Policing at University College London. In previous roles he led the Crime & Justice Unit at the think-tank Policy Exchange (2010-12) and was Chief of Staff (2007-10) in the UK Parliament to the Rt Hon. Nick Herbert MP, former Policing Minister. Since 2017 he has worked as a public policy consultant with the Behavioural Insights Team and the Centre for Justice Innovation and is also a Policy Fellow at PUBLIC, which invests in and builds technology companies that want to transform public services (www.public.io).
