“Joining the Dots: understanding the changing policing and performance landscape”
This year’s online EIP conference will take place on Thursday 11th and Friday 12th November. All police forces, other police organisations and public sector delivery partners are invited to register. Once registered, organisations will be able to authorise as many of their people as they wish to log on and participate in the event.

As the demands for services provided by police continue to diversify and increase in both their number and complexity, EIP 2021 aims to assist leaders and practitioners to see the emerging picture and understand the ways in which the wider policing and performance landscape is changing.

EIP 2021 will explore the emerging performance framework, how it will influence what we do; and how centrally driven expectations can be reconciled with the local needs of different operational contexts. We will consider what enables excellence in police practice and place particular emphasis on how technology can help us to realise the potential of our information resources to improve how we make decisions, plan and stand up to scrutiny.

The event is being organised in association with the College of Policing and with support from IBM Ltd. It will be built around a number of presentations, conversations and interactive sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions, participate in real time polls and engage in live chat with other participants. Confirmed presenters include:

Kit Malthouse MP, Minister of State for Crime and Policing

Dame Cressida Dick DBE QPM, Commissioner, Metropolitan Police Service

Martin Hewitt QPM Chair of the National Police Chiefs’ Council

Sir Thomas Winsor, Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector

Shaun Sawyer QPM, Chair of the NPCC Performance Management Coordination Committee

David McCandless, Data Journalist, Writer and Information Designer

The event will also feature sessions led by the College of Policing, the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners, leading academics, IBM Ltd. and other subject specialists.
